1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Connect12.io application and website (the “Service”) provided by Connect12.io (“Connect12”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. The Service
Connect12 is an in-person meeting and networking app that helps you exchange contacts, capture business cards, record and transcribe conversations, generate follow-ups and scheduling, enrich contacts, build a personal commercial using the PASTA framework, and surface Top 12 referral insights. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
4. Accounts & sign-in
You may register directly or through a third-party provider such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft 365 or LinkedIn. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date.
5. Subscriptions, billing & renewals
Connect12 offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe, Authorize.Net, or the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on how you subscribe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you retain access until then.
- Prices may change with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
- Purchases made through an app store are also subject to that store’s terms and billing rules.
6. Refunds
Except where required by law or expressly stated, fees are non-refundable. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those stores’ refund policies. For purchases billed directly, contact support@connect12.io and we will review eligible requests.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or in breach of any third party’s rights.
- Record any person without the consent required by applicable law.
- Upload malware, scrape the Service, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it.
- Misuse contact, profile or event data, including for unlawful marketing or harassment.
- Resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
8. Recording & consent obligations
Some features let you record audio. You are solely responsible for complying with all laws governing the recording of conversations, including obtaining the consent of all participants where required. You will indemnify us against claims arising from your recordings.
9. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (contacts, recordings, notes, business cards, profile details). You grant Connect12 a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process and use that content solely to operate and improve the Service, including processing by our AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the rights to submit your content.
10. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties such as LinkedIn, Google and Outlook calendars, payment processors and AI vendors. Your use of those integrations is subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or actions. Event data scraped from public URLs is provided as-is and may be inaccurate.
11. AI-generated content
Transcripts, summaries, follow-up drafts, referral insights and your personal commercial are generated by automated systems and may contain errors or omissions. They are provided for your assistance only and do not constitute professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI output before relying on or sending it.
12. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, the Connect12 name and logo, and the spider-web mark, is owned by Connect12 and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works except as permitted by law.
13. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that AI output will be accurate.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Connect12 and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Connect12 from claims, damages and expenses arising out of your content, your use of the Service, your recordings, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
17. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or others. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
19. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Connect12.io is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise. Confirm the governing jurisdiction and any arbitration terms with counsel.
