I am excited to share that I have officially recertified my SHRM-SCP credential. π
What makes this recertification meaningful is that I did not earn it from a conference seat. I earned it by building.
Over the past year, I:
β Built a Quality Management System for an energy company from the ground up β aligning operations, safety, and execution into one integrated framework that runs in the real world
β Designed and deployed a 25-deliverable Chapter Chair onboarding and training system, complete with member experience workflows, leadership curriculum, and the infrastructure to make it repeatable and scalable
β Developed my own Cornerstone Strategy Frameworkβ’ and put it to work β turning it into a proven methodology for guiding companies through real strategic decisions
β Pursued certifications across multiple bodies that sharpened my knowledge and tested my skills in new ways
β Built strategies for companies across several industries that are now excelling in their markets
That is what continuous learning looks like to me β not passive credit, but applied skill. Every hour mapped directly to the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge: leadership, organizational effectiveness, people strategy, and execution. I believe HR and people strategy should not be a back-office function.
It should be the engine that turns vision into a system that runs β across operations, safety, quality, and growth. Grateful to SHRM for a recertification model that rewards practitioners for building, and to the teams across Maxari Energy Solutions and Maxari Solutions, Redstone Business Consulting Group, and Landing Big Whales who make the work worth doing.
Onward.
